Wyoming Appaloosa Ranch began operation in 1992 with the purchase of two Appaloosa mares from the Ulrich dispersion sale near Clark, Wyoming. Shortly there after, two more mares and a stallion were acquired from the Pratt ranch of Sweet Home ,Oregon. Both of these breeders were known to be the top breeders of Foundation Appaloosas at that time.

Over the years, several select mares and very special stallions have been added to the original herd from Oregon, Montana, Utah, Indiana, and Tennessee. At the present time we are concentrating on the "Toby" bloodline but also have a strong influence of the "Sundance", "Chief Chelsea" "Red Eagle" ,"Mansfield Comanche" , "Chief of Fourmile" and "Frank Scripter" bloodlines.

The stallions presently standing are:

WAR Toby's Nightwind born 1995 ,a black few spot leopard measuring 16.2 hands and who is a guaranteed color producer. (Pratt Toby Secret x Ulrich ).Wonderful disposition. Athletic. They don't come any better.

Revel Soquili , tricolored loudcolored leopard with big peacock spots. 15.1 hands tall . Pedigree: Solar Flair Eclat x Manes Blue Eagle.
Revel does both the the Indian Shuffle and the normal gaits. He is a handsome, easy to handle and very balanced stallion . He loves to work and push cattle. He has an outstanding disposition.  He does reining and anybody can ride him.  Recently has been English ridden, loves to jump and enjoys dressage routines.

Toby Cherokee Chief ( Stable name Toby ) stands 16.1 hands at 3 ½ years of age. He is a black leopard with nearly perfect conformation and an excellent mind. He is soft to sit and shows expressive floating and wide reaching movement under saddle. Together with his natural ability to jump he makes a perfect horse for English disciplines and for eventing . Started under saddle in Western and English disciplines.      Awesome stallion.

We are expecting his first foal crop in spring of 2008 .

WAR Shooting Star is a 15 hands  black leopard stallion . He combines the speed and easy movement of the Fourmile line with his stronger boned and heavier muscled Pratt ancestry . He has a friendly , attentive mind and excellent conformation . He is easy to ride and tries to please.

Shooting Star is an ambitious bold horse.

No spook , no buck .

Has been in the Big Horn Mountains on trail rides , has had some arena work and loves to do ranch work . He is started in Western discipline as well as in English dressage /jumping and excels in both .

Mamin  Mocha Joe  is our stallion prospect .This bubbly yearling stallion with his friendly attitude and inquisitive , cooperative mind is a fun horse to be around . He is very athletic and full of energy .

Mocha Joe shows us elegant stops , effortless spins and turns - just playing with his buddies . He loves to herd anything moving : footballs , dogs , turkeys or his equine buddies.

Mocha Joe will make a great cutting and reining horse and matches just fine with our precious mares. His training starts in summer of 2008.

Look forward to more pictures of him .
